The Studio

Three Decades of Manufacturing Experience. Driven by Art and Engineering

ESKOD is a modern atelier built on deep roots. Our collective experience spans thirty years of precision engineering and custom manufacturing, now brought together in our newly opened 22,000 sq ft workshop in Stockton, California.

Design and technical execution are led by founder Vladimir Kojic. Well-regarded as an expert in industrial machinery and advanced production layout, Vladimir also holds a master’s degree in fine arts. This dual background shapes every commission—influencing proportion, rhythm, restraint, and the precise mechanics of how organic materials are machined and structurally integrated.

Behind every project is an elite team of professionals: skilled craftsmen, master machinists, hand-finishers, and structural installers who leverage advanced 5-axis CNC technology to carry demanding engineering specifications from initial drawing to final, flawless installation.

To maintain an uncompromising standard of quality control, we accept only a small number of commissions at a time. Each is an original composition engineered exclusively for its architectural setting and the people who will live with it; none is ever drawn from a catalogue.

I approach every commission the way I approach sculpture: first as form, then as material, and finally as part of the room it will live in. Organic elements don't just fill a space; they respond to it. From the warmth of timber to the weight of stone, these materials reward patience and carry the story of their making into your home.

Services

Woodwork for architecture and interiors

Bespoke woodwork for residences and considered interiors in Stockton, the San Francisco Bay Area, Sacramento and across Northern California.

  • Architectural Millwork & Interiors

Stairs, wall paneling, ceilings, built-ins, banquettes and doors, made to drawings and finished to suit the room.

  • Sculptural Wall Installations

Reliefs, panels and suspended ceiling works, conceived as sculpture and engineered for the building they hang in.

  • Custom Furniture & Sculpture

Tables, seating and freestanding forms in solid timber, each designed for a single place.

  • Pergolas & Timber Structures

Pergolas, entries and garden structures in durable timber, detailed for the outdoors.

For architects & interior designers

We work alongside architects, interior designers and builders from early design through installation. Your drawings and specifications are developed into shop drawings for review, and if needed, finish samples are made for approval before production. Advanced 5 axis CNC machining in our Stockton workshop holds each part to the drawing, and hand finishing and joinery take it the rest of the way. Pieces are built to your specification and installed by our own team.

Commission Concepts

What we can create

A selection of design studies across four disciplines. Treat them as starting points: every commission is developed from first sketch to final finish for its own setting.

The images in Commission Concepts are design renderings. They show the kinds of pieces ESKOD crafts, not photographs of completed client work.

Process

From conversation to installation

  1. 01

    Consultation

We begin with a conversation, on site or in the studio, about the space, the light, and how the piece will be used and lived with.

  2. 02

    Design

Sketches, drawings and renderings, followed by material and finish samples. Proportion and grain are settled before the first cut.

  3. 03

    Craftsmanship

Made by hand in the workshop: traditional joinery where it matters, precise modern methods where they serve the work.

  4. 04

    Installation

Delivered and installed with the same care it was made with, then finished and checked in place.
